About

We got tired of watching good businesses run on their founder.

Smooth Ops is the two of us: Jenna Thomasson and Lesley-Anne Lastimoso. We spent years inside coaching businesses and fast-scaling companies, and we kept seeing the same thing; a talented founder with a great offer, capped not by demand but by the fact that everything still ran through them.

We met working operations together inside a high-ticket coaching mastermind, where we saw up close how quickly growth outruns the systems holding it up. Renewals, onboarding, handoffs, hiring, all of it landing on one desk. The founder becomes the bottleneck, and no amount of new marketing fixes that.

The frustrating part was that the fix is knowable, and most help only does half of it. Agencies drop in a tool and leave; a VA can execute but has to be told what to do; software gives you options and no judgment. What actually works is two things together: the right systems, and a team trained to run them. So we built the thing we wished those businesses had, and we made it our own.

That's the whole idea behind Smooth Ops. We build the back-end that takes you out of the middle, and we train the people who keep it running, so the business holds together when you step back. We stay senior, we diagnose before we build, and we hand it over so it's yours.

Jenna Thomasson

Structure, strategy, teams, operations

Jenna is the founder of Unbound Mama, a virtual-agency and operations practice (formerly JT Virtual Solutions). She builds the back-end of coaching businesses and trains the people who run it: standing up operations and SOPs, strategic mapping, team building, and management training. She also runs a vetted VA directory and a training program for virtual assistants, so she knows both sides of a coaching team, the systems and the people who run them. She's done this work across multiple coaching companies.

Lesley-Anne Lastimoso

Field & regional leadership, enablement, delivery systems

Lesley-Anne has spent 17-plus years scaling startups from the ground up. She opened Tesla's first Texas locations in the brand's early days, helped Casper turn its bed-in-a-box concept into brick-and-mortar retail by launching a flagship and a five-location market, then did it again at Rivian, standing up a new EV brand's field organization at a very different moment in the market. She's led as a market and regional manager, a manager of managers running teams of managers across a multi-state region, and she got her start as a Certified Trainer at Apple. That enablement background shapes how coaching teams get trained and how client delivery gets built.

Between us, that's operations depth, real teams scaled, and years spent inside coaching businesses specifically, so there's no ramp-up spent explaining your world to us.
